China Hotel Foreign Management Trainee Program

CHT connects foreign hotel tourism colleges and Chinese high-star international brand hotels, and has been creating unique management training internships for young foreign hotel management students for more than ten years, helping project participants become future leaders in the hotel industry. Project participants share hotel knowledge from an international perspective and exchange valuable experiences with local staff.

​As a Chinese student of CHT International Management School, I also have many opportunities to conduct cultural exchanges and communication with CHT foreign management trainees.

 

China Hotel Foreign Management Trainee Project

 

Cooperative hotels: four- and five-star international brand hotels in different cities in China

Internship time: 4 months, 6 months, 10 months, 12 months

Internship positions: front office, catering department

 

Front Office Management Trainee:

 

Under the direction of Front Office Manager, responsible for establishing and maintaining mutual understanding and friendly relationship between guests and management

Elevating a winning work culture for hotel groups and brands

A detailed internship description will be provided to selected candidates

 

Catering Management Trainee:

Under the direction of the Food and Beverage Manager, oversee the quality of menu items and restaurant service

Comply with local regulations regarding health, safety or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures

China Hotel International Management Trainee Application Requirements:

Age between 18-35 years old

Understand that the purpose of this project is not to be a work item, but to manage training

Interview with CHT or an authorized CHT partner by phone or video

The internship program must be relevant to the applicant's career field and the applicant must be actively working in that field

Candidates with experience in the hotel and tourism industry are preferred

Possess a recognized level of English, and have a certain understanding of English terms in the hotel and tourism industry, and other languages ​​are a plus (Chinese is not required)

At the end of the internship period, participants must submit an internship report

Can use office software

Can use opera first

 

Skills:

Tourism management major studying or graduating

Have a strong love and sense of responsibility for the hospitality industry

Willingness to show initiative and perform shift duties

Strong market awareness and result orientation

Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills

application process

​The selection process takes approximately 3-6 weeks, depending on partner hotels and when applicants are interviewed. See the steps from receipt of application to arrival in China.

 

The applicant submits the application. Applicants apply through partners or directly on the CHT website.

CHT screens candidates. An interviewer from CHT will make an appointment with the candidate for an interview via skype.

Hotel screening candidates. The partner hotel will make an appointment with the candidate for an interview through social software.

The hotel provides an internship position confirmation letter, which is signed by both parties. When the candidate is confirmed to be accepted, the hotel will provide an internship contract, and both parties will confirm the internship time.

Visa and pre-arrival arrangements. CHT and the hotel will provide the required documents and information. the

 

Participants from various countries bring their knowledge and unique cultures to this work.
