Types of iMBA program
The ZIBS 2024 iMBA program accepts students on a full time or part time basis.
The ZIBS full time iMBA program only recruits international students. The tuition is RMB 336,000. For qualified international students, they can apply for a one-time scholarship up to RMB 118,000 at the time of application. Students are expected to take a two-year curriculum-based study, plus a half year required internship. ZIBS can help provide students with internship opportunities, but students are also encouraged to apply for internships on their own. Students visa application can also be assisted by ZIBS.
The ZIBS part time iMBA program can accept Chinese students or international students.
These students typically have a full-time job which can only allow them to take their MBA study on a part time basis. The tuition is RMB 336,000. For the ZIBS part time iMBA program international students, they should already have a valid Chinese visa to stay and study in China. Students are expected to take a two- and half-year to complete their study.
Scholarships
Scholarships ZIBS international students are eligible to apply for the ZIBS Hai Scholrship. The scholarship will be paid to students after the students arrive in the international campus physically. Students are, however, required to pay the tuition in full upon registration.

Application Eligibility
1. General requirements
1.1 Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with proper moral conduct, in good health with no infectious disease or any physical or mental diseases that may affect the normal study, have a bachelor’s degree (Applicant who has not got the degree certificate when applying shall provide the pre-graduation certificate first, then provide the academic degree certificates no later than registration) and be under the age of 35 (Age limit is flexible for healthy applicants with certain work experience and high academic ability).
1.2 Minimum bachelor’s degree in any given major.
1.3 Minimum of 2 years of working experience would be preferable.
2. Requirements on Citizenship
Requirements of the regulations set in the Documents 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met(Link).
2.1 Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship (including residents in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and become foreign citizens, must acquire foreign citizenship before April 30, 2020, and must have lived abroad more than 2 years from April 30, 2020 to April 30, 2024 (more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).
2.2 If the applicants has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent resident in foreign country should be obtained prior to the birth of the applicant. Applicants must have lived abroad more than 2 years from April 30, 2020 to April 30, 2024 (more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).
Note: If the applicant is concluded to have Chinese citizenship by the Chinese public security department after application, admission or enrolment, the applicant will be disqualified from application, admission or enrolment, or withdrawal from school will be required.
3. Language proficiency requirements:
3.1 Applicants must have an internet-based TOEFL test score 80 or IELTS test score 6.5 (or above), or other proof which can reflect the applicants’ English proficiency (except for English native speakers, or those who obtained their bachelors’ degree in English-taught programs). 3.2 No Chinese language proficiency is required for the program.
TOEFL DI Code of ZIBS is C603. TOEFL MyBest score is accepted.
Documents for Application
Applicants must log in to the Online Application System for International Students of Zhejiang University (Link), fill in clearly and upload completely the original or notarized scanned copies of the following materials as required.
1. A photocopy of passport.
2. Highest degree certificates. If applicants are university students, they shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate. The original or notarized copy of the academic qualification certificate must be submitted after admission (the degree certificate must be obtained no later than registration).
3. Academic transcripts during Bachelor’s degree study, which must be original documents or notarized copies.
4. Language proficiency certificates. (Download)
5. Personal statement, in Chinese or English, should include study and work experience, reasons for application and study proposal. 1500 words.
6. Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors. (Professors’ signature, contact phone number and email address must be put on the letter.)
7. Published academic papers or other academic achievements. (If applicable)
8. Applicants are encouraged to provide GRE、GMAT test score.
9. Applicant who has given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens shall provide the documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese nationality, according to the policy of Ministry of Education of the PRC.
10. If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, please provide
[1] documents certifying acquiring foreign citizenship at the time of birth;
[2] documents certifying parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent residence in foreign country before the birth of applicants.
Note:
1.After submitting the above materials in the online system, please pay the application fee in the system or upload the remittance voucher of the application fee.
2.The above application materials must be in Chinese or English, and notarized copies of translations must be provided for texts in other languages.
3. Please do NOT post the hard copies of the application materials or send them by e-mail. The paper application materials and the application materials sent by e-mail will not be reviewed and processed.
4. Supplementary materials or video interviews may be required when necessary.
ZIBS Hai Scholarship
The ZIBS Hai Scholarship is established to reward individuals with outstanding potentials. It is opened to all ZIBS international applicants. Applicants should fill in the Hai Application Form and submit it together with other application materials via the application system. Amount: 5,000-30,000 RMB
How to Apply?
1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens , have graduated from high school (Graduating high school students can provide pre-graduation certificates first, then provide the graduation certificates no later than registration) and be under the age of 25. 2.Requirements of the regulations set in the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met. Please refer to our official website for details. 3.If applicants’ native language is not English, they should provide score report of English language test, such as TOEFL (80 or higher), IELTS (6.5 or higher), or other proof of proficiency. 4.Chinese language proficiency is NOT required for application. *If the applicants do not have basic Chinese language skills, GCM program can provide Chinese language pre-courses.

Management Training/Mandatory Internship
The Management Training/Internship is a 6-month program designed to give young professionals the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the hospitality industry. Participants will work with key personnel at their reputed hotel, which is a part of one of the top global hotel chains like Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Accor, etc. In order to learn the necessary skills to succeed in the hotel management industry. Furthermore, Interns will receive guidance from experienced professionals in the hospitality industry, who will provide support and mentorship.
The management training will focus on the basics of hotel management, including hospitality operations, customer service, and team leadership. Interns will gain hands-on experience in managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel. Moreover, interns will become familiar with the various departments within the hotel and will learn about the key responsibilities and roles of each department. During the program, interns will gain an understanding of the business and revenue models used in the hospitality industry and will develop the skills necessary to manage a hotel in a competitive environment.
In addition to classroom-based learning, interns will be able to experience hotel operations first-hand. They will be exposed to the guest experience and will be able to observe and participate in housekeeping, front desk, security, and other operational activities. They will also be able to interact with guests and gain an understanding of how to provide superior customer service. At the end of the program, interns will be presented with a certificate of completion and will have gained the skills and experience necessary to begin a career in hotel management.
